iThic.com is a site based on the idea of a one stop shop for people in the US looking to purchase an Open Pandora. Early morning on the 30th of September 2008, an order was placed with Gbax.com for a preorder of an Open Pandora that was supposed to be delivered in Two Months™
May 26th, 2010, 600 Days later I received the first Open Pandora production model (#14) in the US. Not too long after that I had to open up this unit to adjust my left shoulder button and investigate a wonky A button. Within days, I ordered a backup unit because I realized this is something special, something powerful, a great way to relive days past and catch up on things that may have been missed along the way or forgotten.
While waiting for the remainder of Batch 1 to ship and the Nub ordeal to bare fruit, hard times were felt for the OP Team. I figured helping the project with what I could by preordering a few extra units to either sell on Ebay or perhaps open a shop with.
So here you have it, recently iThic.com shipped its first TWO DAY Pandora. I hope there are many more people that enjoy this device as much as I do. It is open, the software is free, there is no corporation telling you what you can and can't do with this computer. It is all yours.
MISSION STATEMENT:
Providing logistical support to the Open Pandora community within the US and worldwide. Warranty, repair, and retail sales. Sourcing local goods when available, focusing on green design, and protecting this Open Source technology via unionized shippers.
